Darth Azula - WIP

About the last week of February I got hit with the flu, which is why I haven't been here lately. So while I was doing my impression of a dying person, I used the free time to reread "Deathly Hallows" the "Thrawn Trilogy" and watch nearly all the Star Wars movies. I also started watching the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" DVDs I had been collecting for my nephews for the past year and a half. This is the first time I've ever watched this show and I wanted to kick my ass for not watching it sooner. This has got to be the best show I've seen since they cancelled Justice League. And I have to go as far back as "Gargoyles" for a show with such a solid storyline.

I love my nephews but they really can't take care of their stuff, so unfortunately I have to repurchase disc one of the first season, but thanks to some websites I was able to see most of the eps on that disc and the unaired episodes, (just haven't seen the third episode of the first season) so now I'm completely caught up and eargerly waiting for new eps

So for my first Avatar drawing I just had to do Azula, who has to be one of the most well-written villains (if not the best) for an animated show, let alone villainess.

And yeah, I had to Jed-ize Azula (which I seem to do with all non-star wars characters) but her lightning just makes her so Sithy. She is carrying a red saber, but since lightning is her special power I figured she can use it to turn her blades blue temporarily making them more powerful.

I originally had this idea for Shego, who would turn her red saber green, but Azula's lightning just works better.
