I had to post something (not counting commissions) to let everyone know I'm still kicking. I do have a few drawings I've had for awhile I could've posted, but this is the only thing I've drawn for myself since I was sick last month. It was actually because I got sick is why this art exists.
My nephews had been wanting me to rent Fallout 3 for them. Now I had heard of Fallout 3, it was a very highly anticipated game when it came out, I'm sure I also knew that it was from the same guys that did "Oblivion". However, all the previews and videos I had seen about the game made it seem like it was a first-person shooter, and it seems like that's how most people play it. But because of games like "Mass Effect", "Gears of War 2", hell, I even play "Oblivion" 3rd person (I only click to first-person to use the bow are shoot spells), my fondness for first-person shooters has waned somewhat.
Anyway, I rented the game for my nephews about the same time I got sick last month so I started to watch them play it.
Dammit. Now I have to get the game
If you love "Oblivion" then you will definitely like, if not love "Fallout 3". Unlike "Oblivion" your main weapons are guns, and you can play in 3rd person (which I prefer) and it looks great like that, I don't know why most people seem to knock it. If I'm going to create a character and be able to wear cool looking outfits, I want to be able to see it.
So I decided to wait for the "Game of the Year" edition of Fallout 3. Which came out two weeks ago! I really need money
The same thing happened to me with "Oblivion". I didn't get it until the "Game of the Year" edition was out but that was because I didn't have a 360 when it originally came out. So with the GOY of Fallout 3 I'll get all the expansions that were released for it.
Can't wait to play the whole game. And you can expect more Fallout 3 art from me.
Those familiar with the game will recognize this as your escape from Vault 101 at the beginning of the game. I dont' know about you, but I enjoyed bashing Vault security with my bat, especially watching the killing blows in VATS
This is pretty much how my character looked. I haven't picked a name for her that I like. When I get the GOY Fallout 3 I'm just going to start over with a new character, though I'm going to keep this hair style, "Wendy the riveter". I like it. At least until I'm able to get a combat helmet, then I get it cut to "rough nite out" I think it's called. Not that I like that hair style, it just looks better when wearing the helmet or head wrap.
There also a few outfits I already like. Combat armor is cool, leather armor, badlands raider, and one of the merc armors, I forget what it's called. Though I'm leaning more towards the leather armor, because it reminds me a lot of Mel Gibson's "The Road Warrior" outfit (even though the female version of the armor doesn't look much like it ).
It is an awesome picture. All the Raider outfits are fairly weak but look quite cool. I'm not sure which it was but I know for one of the female raider outfits, the character gets a pair of fiz's (not sure on the spelling) for a bra. I'm curious if you'll draw your character with that armour.

I may not be the best artist in the world but with the help of friends my art has improved. Thanks guy's all of you know who you are.
With games like this I really do take my time. With "Oblivion" from the moment I started playing it, it probably took me six months before I eventually finished the main quest. I did finish "Knights of the Nine" and "Mages Guilde" storylines, but I hadn't even gotten halfway through the "Fighter's Guilde" or "Shivering Isle" so I don't like to rush

Oh, yeah, I do tend to choose armor base more on looks. With "Oblivion" I can upgrade weak (though fashionable looking ) armor with enchanments and Sigil stones. My last playthrough of Mass Effect I was stuck with type IV armor while the rest of my crew were finding VII or higher
The Raider outfit I like is the shorts and tank top combo. It is weak but I try to off set that by having higher agility, rapair and small guns and hot keying stimpaks And I already got addicted to Jet twice (drugs or bad, kids)

The baseball bat is definitely my favorite melee weapon, helps saves on ammo especially in the beginning when you don't have many caps to spend. It's very durable and great for dealing with sledgehammer Super Mutants
