This morning I noticed how large my stack of "unused" sketches had gotten, so I decided to go through them and I found quite a few sketches of Jaden I had never scanned in. Most of them were crap (don't know why I kept them  ) but this one looked okay. I don't know why I never scanned it in. I'd like to think it was because I was hard at work on commissions, but it was probably just laziness  . So I just cleaned the lines a bit and decided to make this a pic of when Jaden was still an apprentice.For those not familiar with the story in the game "Jedi Academy", Jaden Korr (a unisex name in case you want to create a male Jaden  ) is a Force sensitive who built her own lightsaber without any training, which got the attention of Luke and his Academy. She was assigned Kyle Katarn's apprentice. Halfway through the game Jaden loses her lightsaber and has to build a new one (which could be dual lightsabers or a double-blade, but I just give her another single saber ). Luke also annoints her a Jedi Knight.So Jaden's first lightsaber is green. The color of her second lightsaber will be determined by her skin color (which I still haven't decided on ) A purple saber if she's blue or blue saber if she's red (maybe I should do a poll). I'm also still working on the design of her body tattoos, which I just realized I forgot the tatts on her lekku  .**** June 30, 2008 I really wanted to do a new drawing to unveil my choosing red Jaden. But with all the work I need to catch up on, it's going to be awhile before I'm able to draw anything new for myself. So I just modified my Jaden apprentice pic to make the outfit she wears as an apprentice look more like it does in the game, as well as redo her first lightsaber (in the game it's called a "Retaliator"). Also filled in the base colors and added a little reflective glow, which I think I'm going to start doing in more of my pics *****July 17, 2009 I did manage to finish coloring a few things while I was away. I think I finished this one back in Novemeber or Decemeber. I just remember it was cold |
