artist's note ***I think today is going to be my "cleaning my drawers" day.
. . . .
I mean my desk drawers (don't be gross)
I'm going through this large stack of sketches I haven't scanned, seeing what I can throw out, what can be saved. So I'll probably be posting a lot pics like this for the rest of the day.**
Late last year when I was able to start playing "Mass Effect" I also started playing "Elder Scrolls: Oblivion". I love both those games. Like my Shepard I also drew my Oblivion character, a Wood Elf. I named her Mara Darkwood . I think I customized her class, a Battlearcher, I think. She's wearing a chainmail curass (I know it doesn't offer much protection but it looks good on her ) and Mythril everything else, though I think I had her in glass greaves the last time I played. I wanted to wait until I can get direct references from the game for her armor, but every time I got access to my nephews' 360 I end up playing "Mass Effect" .
***edit** May 21, 2008
Added in the base colors. Also wanted to try creating a "chainmail" pattern for her curass. I think it came out all right but I think I can make a better one.
Ah, Oblivion, a game that swept me away and offered countless hours of replay and awesome storyline, not to mention the amazing expansion. I played, and have, it on my PC, but WoW now cosumes my time. It's a very good picture, and the bosmer are fun to play. Being so short was weird at 1st, but grew on me. I also had a bosmer archer, played a guy for once. he was fun. Archery is great when you poison your arrows, or have enchanted arrows. You should continue with her, the story is epic in every sense of the word!
It's actually based on the character I created for the video game "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion". Though when I drew this pic I was going by memory (I didn't have access to a 360). I was meaning to go back to the game and try to make the amor more accurate but I never got around to it.
About 3 and half years ago I started buying Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. I've used nothing else since

Oh, yeah the game is very long, I doubt I'm even halfway through the main storyline. But being a vampire was fun .

I lucked out and got the "Game of the Year" edition with "Shivering Isles" and "Knights of the Nine".
Ah, yes, poisons. From "Morrowind" (very late in the game) I learned the advantages of having good alchemy. A great source for making money early in the game, (selling potions) I made sure my Wood Elf had alchemy as a major skill . I think my alchemy was over 50 points before I entered my first Oblivion gate and I always carry no less than 2 dozen bottles of poison. Paralyze/damage health, the perfect mixture
And I'm kinda glad my computer wouldn't be able to support WoW, because I would probably like it and I sure I couldn't afford getting sucked into another game .

I've seen many youtube videos of some of the mods, they do look amazing, but there is no way my computer would be able to support the game.
