I've been seeing this meme around a lot, particularly for Commander Shepard, so I figured I'd paste together my own. Especially since I FINALLY finished coloring my very first Shepard pic ;p

1. ALIENS rather than just Ripley. The movie pretty much influenced military in Sci-Fi for the past 25 years (Halo much?) From age 4 to 12 Star Wars was my favorite sci-fi of all time. As a teenager it was "Aliens" (and Star Trek but that has nothing to do with the meme ;p ) It was also one of the biggest movies to prove that women can be action heroes.

2. Sarah Connor - Terminator 2
Unlike Ripley, Sarah Connor actually was a soldier (unofficially of course). She had to fight against machine or otherwise overwhelming odds, much like Shepard.

3. Lara Croft another action chick with skills. Travels all across the world (galaxy) meeting all kinds of strange people (aliens) and occassionally saving the world (galaxy).

4. Angelina Jolie - the only real female action star we have. Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hamilton were one-hit action heroes and a few other actresses have done some action movies, Milla Jovovich and Kate Beckinsale, but none are even in the same league as Ms. Jolie. Most leading men today don't have her record.

5. The Long Kiss Goodnight - I don't care what anyone says about this film, it's just fucking awesome. Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson make this movie. And her character, Charlene Baltimore does share a lot of parallels with Shepard. Both are in special military branches (covert intelligence/Spectres); she's a major, Shepard's a commander ;p ; she had amnesia for eight years, Shepard died and was brought back to life after two .... okay not really the same thing but an adjustment period was needed for both :rofl: If Major Baltimore was in Mass Effect she would totally be renegade ;p

do you have reff for comander sapers outfit? i was having hard time trying to draw my shaperd with the armor haha

I just used the "inventory" menu screen in the game when I needed to see the armor. You can also have Ashley wear which ever armor you want to see (she can wear any human armor from light to heavy, my Shepard couldn't wear heavy) and use Shepard to zoom in on her.
